Reviews and Ratings
My stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, beautifully decorated in an elegant old style, were spacious with plenty of storage. However, the morning staff lacked friendliness, with constant references to the welcome pack, though the evening staff were very nice and helpful. The location was superb, offering character and a friendly atmosphere, but some areas like the dining room had minor inconveniences. The varied dining options were enjoyable, although there were minor preferences. Overall, a place with lovely rooms and a great location, but with some improvements needed in service and dining experiences.
The hotel offers lovely views across the road and Promenade at high tide, but the room was quite small and the bathroom was cramped. Coming back late at night to find the entrance closed was inconvenient. The service was excellent overall, with personalized menu options to accommodate dietary preferences provided last minute, although the bar service fell short. The location is fantastic being right on the seafront with helpful staff. The dining experience was good value, although the hotel dining seemed overpriced for the quality. The facilities were satisfactory.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, right on the seafront with free parking, but the room had some noise issues that made it difficult for my kids to settle. The staff provided mixed experiences, with some being very friendly and helpful, while others lacked warmth. The dining experience was good with waiter service and a nice selection, but there were some noise disturbances above the spa and sauna and near the kitchen that affected the overall comfort.
The hotel offers rooms with stunning sea views and balconies, featuring excellent facilities and plenty of drawer space. The views across the road and Promenade during high tide are lovely. The service is a mix of abruptness and friendliness, with a tight parking situation. The location is very convenient on the seafront in Sidmouth, perfect for exploring the delightful town. Dining is excellent with fresh local produce, and facilities are top-notch. Despite some minor drawbacks, the overall experience is delightful with great value for money.
The hotel is located right on the seafront, offering a fantastic view. The rooms are comfortable with sea views but lacked some expected extras. The dining was excellent with tasty dishes. However, there were some issues with noise and cleanliness. The location is convenient but the hotel bar access restrictions can be a drawback.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room was cozy and clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, which made up for the unpleasant smell and noise. The service was friendly and went above and beyond, but the dining experience, although excellent, felt overpriced. The location was perfect, right on the seafront, and facilities were satisfactory.
